libmotif4 software package provides Motif - shared libraries (transitional package), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmotif4
libmotif4 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmotif4 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmotif4 *
You will get with libmotif4 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
